EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg is excited to announce the unveiling of the new Service Center, a project that will provide both the Public Works Department and the Utilities Department with an upgraded facility as they continue to serve the community.
City staff will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Edinburg Service Center on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 9 a.m.

For almost 50 years, the original building on Doolittle Road housed both departments. The new $5.4 million project features administrative offices, conference and training facilities, an emergency response center, and a new Utilities Department warehouse for material storage. With construction now complete, Utilities and Public Works are set to return to the Service Center.
The community is encouraged to attend this historic milestone at 1201 N. Doolittle Road. For those unable to attend, the event will also be streamed live on the City of Edinburg’s Facebook page and Spectrum Channel 1300.
