EL PASO, Texas – The City of El Paso’s Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing Department launched the First annual Procurement Forecast plan highlighting upcoming City projects for which businesses can bid on for Fiscal Year 2022 (September 2021 – August 2022).

The purpose of a procurement forecast, or buying plan, is to assist in answering two of most frequently asked questions:

·       What type of services, goods and construction projects will the City be contracting or buying this year?

·       When will the city bid out items that my company sells?

“The forecast will allow local companies to develop plans, partnerships, and secure resources to better position themselves to compete in the bidding process,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez. “Local companies doing business with the City of El Paso are an integral part of delivering and creating employment opportunities for our residents and growing the overall business ecosystem that supports a vibrant regional economy.”

The forecast includes over 100 upcoming opportunities as the City anticipates adding more procurement occasions. The city offers a variety of contracting opportunities such as:
