On November 6, 2023, the South Texas Alliance of Cities convened its fourth official gathering in San Antonio, Texas, bringing together mayors from various South Texas cities to address common challenges and foster collaboration in the region.

“This is a significant achievement for Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc.,” says Robert Calvillo, Executive Director for AHSTI.

“To continue meeting the needs of a growing economy over the next decade and beyond, Texas is making significant investments in education, workforce development, and reskilling and upskilling programs,” said Governor Abbott.

“K-9 units continue to play a unique role in the department and our efforts to keep the state safe,” said DPS Director Steven McCraw.

“With this crucial grant funding, we will further bolster organizations and agencies in their work to prevent human trafficking, secure our border, and bring justice to crime victims, among other critical public safety initiatives.

The store is expected to bring between 25 and 30 new jobs to the community, including Sales and Logistic Supervisors, Senior Associates, Sales Associates, and seasonal opportunities as well.

"We believe in helping to transform and elevate the lives of all Texans, while at the same time making sure that we provide our growing number of employers the high-skilled, well-trained employees they need and deserve," said Governor Abbott.
