Art Village on Main warmly invites you to join the 11th Annual A Season of Hope Arts Festival, a cherished McAllen holiday tradition. This special event highlights the incredible visual and performing arts education in the Rio Grande Valley while also showcasing local artists’ talents. Most importantly, it encourages the youth in our community to explore and embrace the world of art.

This year’s festival spans two exciting days, beginning on Friday, November 22. The festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. with a musical performance by students from the Creative Arts Studio, a collective of local artists dedicated to empowering the community through fine arts education. The evening will continue with the Lighting of the Tree and the popular “Art at the Village” event from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. To add to the festive spirit, 97.7 The City radio station will provide holiday music throughout the night. The station also plays a vital role in introducing young people to media arts through radio classes and on-air experiences. But the real highlight is the chance to meet and engage with the local artists who will be present to exhibit and sell their original artwork, offering you a unique opportunity to connect with the creators.

The festivities resume on Saturday, November 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a full day of artistic exploration and shopping. Support local artists by visiting the many booths featuring a stunning array of handcrafted pieces, including jewelry, paintings, sculptures, photographs, and more. Each artwork available for purchase is an original, one-of-a-kind creation, making it the perfect addition to any collection or a thoughtful holiday gift.

Artists participating in A Season of Hope undergo a thorough selection process to ensure only the highest quality of work is displayed. Proceeds from the artists’ application and booth fees directly support scholarships for Valley students pursuing education in drawing, painting, photography, dance, music, and voice. This provides a valuable opportunity for young artists to continue honing their craft and contribute to the vibrant arts community in the Rio Grande Valley.

Come celebrate the arts, support local talent, and help foster the next generation of creative minds at this year’s festival!
