(Rio Grande Valley, TX) — H-E-B continues to follow Harvey and remains active in preparing for the growing storm. Hurricane Warnings have been issued for the Texas Coast from Port Mansfield to Matagorda. Currently, we expect Harvey to make landfall near Corpus Christi by Friday afternoon and large amounts of rainfall and storm surges are expected to impact not only the Gulf Coast, but inland areas as far as San Antonio.

Again, we advise Customers and Partners in these areas to prepare for this storm event by making sure they have necessary emergency supplies and to stay tuned to local weather developments.

“We understand it is more critical than ever to ensure we can continue business activities in the face of an emergency or disaster.  Our Partners and Customers rely on H-E-B daily. Therefore, being open to support their needs is a foundational part of our business,” said Linda Tovar, H-E-B Senior Manager of Public Affairs.

H-E-B is here for the community and our Partners are working hard to keep stores fully stocked and open as long as safely possible.

H-E-B is also directly working with our community nonprofit partners: The Rio Grande Valley Food Bank and The Red Cross. They have a long standing relationship and will stay in constant contact with them for needed assistance throughout our border region and Texas.
