BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — B.A.S.S. announced that the 2026 Yamaha Bassmaster Redfish Cup Championship presented by Skeeter will return to Port Aransas, Texas, Nov. 6-8, bringing the nation’s premier inshore anglers back to one of the country’s most celebrated redfish fisheries.
Hosted by Port Aransas Fisherman’s Wharf, the three-day championship will feature daily takeoffs at 6:45 a.m. CT and weigh-ins beginning at 2:45 p.m. CT. Teams qualifying for the championship, along with additional event details, will be announced at a later date.
The Yamaha Bassmaster Redfish Cup Championship presented by Skeeter has quickly become one of competitive fishing’s premier saltwater events, bringing together elite redfish anglers and top Progressive Bassmaster Elite Series competitors to battle for one of the sport’s most coveted titles. Previous championships have showcased the incredible fishery surrounding Port Aransas, where changing tides, expansive grass flats, shallow marshes and miles of productive shoreline reward anglers capable of adapting to ever-changing coastal conditions. The championship has previously visited Port Aransas in 2021, 2022 and 2025, producing memorable finishes and demonstrating why the Texas Gulf Coast remains one of the nation’s top destinations for competitive redfishing.

Located on Mustang Island along the Texas Gulf Coast, Port Aransas is surrounded by the productive waters of Aransas Bay, Corpus Christi Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The community has long been recognized as one of the state’s premier fishing destinations, attracting anglers year-round in pursuit of redfish, speckled trout, flounder and numerous offshore species. In 2025, the Texas Legislature officially designated Port Aransas as the Fishing Capital of Texas, further recognizing its rich angling heritage and world-class fisheries.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch the action throughout the weekend, beginning with daily launches from Port Aransas Fisherman’s Wharf before welcoming competitors back each afternoon for the official weigh-ins. The event is expected to draw anglers and spectators from across the country while highlighting the exceptional fishery and hospitality that have made Port Aransas a favorite stop on the championship circuit.
