The RGV Hispanic Chamber Board of Directors recently welcomed David and Veronica Reyna, owners of Riverside Building Materials as a new Corporate Partner joining the other 50 corporate partners.
Mr. and Mrs.Reyna opened up the Riverside Building Materials store in 2023 and started with 10 employees. They have customers that range from Laredo and throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Due to their big success and great customer service they have increased to 35 employees. They have contributed greatly to the Starr County community and have created many jobs through their other business. Reyna Homes and other business ventures that they have created have provided employment opportunities as well as invested in the growth of the construction and housing sectors in Starr County and the Rio Grande Valley. Affordable housing and home improvement initiatives: Reyna Homes has participated in residential construction and remodeling projects, including work associated with programs that assisted low-income families with home improvements and weatherization services in South Texas.
Community leadership is one of Mr. Reyna’s strong beliefs. .He has served on the board of the Rio Grande City EDC and contributed to many organizations. His success in business, involvement in the community and business leadership led the RGV Hispanic Chamber to award Mr. Reyna the Large Business of the Year Award in 2025. In accepting the award, he emphasized the importance of giving back and supporting the local community.
Overall, David and Veronica Reyna are widely recognized as business leaders whose companies have contributed to housing, employment, economic development and community engagement throughout Starr County and the Rio Grande Valley.
