U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo and Pharr International Bridges intercepted $1,261,600 in alleged cocaine in two separate incidents.

“Our CBP officers used multiple law enforcement tools to discover and seize these dangerous narcotics and our streets are safer for their diligence,” said Port Director Tater Ortiz, Brownsville Port of Entry.

CBP seized the narcotics. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI) special agents are investigating the seizure.

Additionally, RGV agents apprehended 12 migrant gang members associated to the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) and 18th Street gangs.
