Hidalgo County Judge Cortez yesterday issued a new “Emergency Order” that reiterates and, to some extent, expands the restrictions put in place to help us all battle the present coronavirus pandemic. “As Mayor, I have directed that the City of McAllen will comply with Judge Cortez’s order to the extent it expands previous restrictions or, adds new ones.  The City of McAllen will begin enforcement of this order starting today, Monday, March 23, 2020.”

Should you have questions regarding the restrictions placed on businesses or other aspects of the order, please call the City of McAllen 3-1-1 Customer Service Call Center.

McAllen 3-1-1 will be open every day this week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“I urge all citizens of McAllen to take these restrictions, and the other precautions that have been ordered or recommended, seriously so that we may protect one another during this time.” Together we can get through this!  God bless you,” Mayor Darling finalized.
