PHARR, Texas — The Pharr City Commission and City Manager Dr. Jonathan B. Flores proudly recognized Jose I. Alvarado for earning the prestigious Master Code Professional certification from the International Code Council, one of the highest achievements in the building safety profession.
Alvarado was recognized by Alyn Cervantes, Assistant Director for Building and Code Compliance, along with his colleagues in the department, for achieving a designation that reflects exceptional technical expertise, extensive knowledge of the International Codes, and a strong commitment to protecting public safety.
According to the International Code Council, the Master Code Professional designation is the highest level of designation the Code Council offers and requires a demonstrated commitment to the profession, diverse knowledge of codes, and a high level of self-initiative.
The certification requires years of professional experience and the successful completion of numerous advanced examinations. Alvarado’s achievement reflects his dedication to excellence and reinforces the City of Pharr’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in building safety, code enforcement, and public service.
