McALLEN, Texas – The City of McAllen will host the Code Enforcement Association of Texas (CEAT) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Training on August 20 and 21, bringing approximately 50 code enforcement professionals from across Texas together for professional development and collaboration.

Participants are expected from Humble, Rockport, Roma, Pharr, Alton, Peñitas and surrounding communities, along with code-certified officers from various City of McAllen departments. The training will feature practical sessions covering topics such as emotional intelligence, zoning, skip tracing, situational awareness, court preparation, documentation and evidence, as well as effective code enforcement in high-impact and vulnerable neighborhoods.

Attendees will also have opportunities to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges and share strategies that can be applied in communities throughout the state.

• Training Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day
• Registration: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. each day
• Cost: $100 per day

The City of McAllen looks forward to welcoming attendees for two days focused on strengthening code enforcement practices and building safer, stronger communities.
