Title IX Advocates

  • Independent Women’s Forum: “The U.S. Department of Education announced that UPenn has agreed to a resolution with theTrump admin to keep men OUT of women’s sports. Huge win for female athletes!”
  • Moms for Liberty: “Great news! Today’s resolution agreement with UPenn is yet another example of the Trump effect in action. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump, UPenn has agreed both to apologize for its past Title IX violations and to ensure that women’s sports are protected at the University for future generations of female athletes. This is a great victory for women and girls not only at the University of Pennsylvania, but all across our nation. The Department commends UPenn for rectifying its past harms against women and girls, and we will continue to fight relentlessly to restore Title IX’s proper application and enforce it to the fullest extent of the law.”
  • Defense of Freedom Institute: “UPenn’s female athletes had their freedoms trampled by the school’s insistence that a man could become a woman. Kudos to Secretary McMahon for ensuring women like Paula Scanlan receive a long-overdue apology.”
  • Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America: “We commend the Trump administration for its unwavering commitment to protecting women’s rights under Title IX. This agreement with UPenn is a testament to President Trump’s leadership and a step toward restoring fairness for female athletes. It sends a strong message that there is no compromise to protecting women’s sports for women only.”
  • Clay Travis, Founder of OutKick: “Congrats Paula Scanlan & Riley Gaines for speaking out on this insanity when so many stayed silent. And props to @JoeKinseyexp for writing the first OutKick story on this issue when every other sports media company in America was scared to speak out against this insanity.”
  • Sage Steele, Host of the Sage Steele Show: “THIS IS AWESOME! And…NONE of it would have been possible without YOU, Riley Gaines!! So grateful for your strength, courage, and commitment to standing up for what’s right. Principle matters. Your fearlessness has changed lives & empowered so many. Love you, friend!”

On The Hill

  • House Committee on Education and Workforce: “Huge win for women and girls in sports. Female athletes deserve every opportunity to compete safely and fairly—the Trump administration is delivering on its promises to keep women and girls safe, and uphold fairness in women’s sports!”
  • Tom Cotton, U.S. Senator for Arkansas: “I’m grateful that President Trump forced UPenn to apologize and end its absurd policy of allowing men to compete in women’s sports. Every campus should do the same and protect women’s sports.”
  • Marsha Blackburn, U.S. Senator for Tennessee: “These athletes would never have received the justice they deserve under Biden. If not for President Trump, countless female athletes like Riley Gaines would still be forced to compete with biological men and suffer the consequences. Thankfully, they now have a president who is on their side.”
  • Ted Cruz, U.S. Senator for Texas: “Fantastic news.”
  • Elise Stefanik, U.S. Representative for New York: “After the Democrat Party willfully and purposefully destroyed opportunity for female athletes, @POTUS Trump is protecting women and girls sports! Thank goodness for accountability delivering common sense!”
  • Burgess Owens, U.S. Representative for Utah: “Thanks to President Trump and Secretary McMahon, UPenn is FINALLY being held accountable for violating Title IX & apologizing to the female athletes robbed of records, titles, & opportunities. It’s time more colleges recognized what Americans already know: fairness in women’s sports is non-negotiable.”
  • Mary Miller, U.S. Representative for Illinois: “HUGE WIN FOR WOMEN’S SPORTS! 👏🏻 UPenn will now follow President Trump’s mandate to ban biological men from competing against women. Every school in America must do the same. It’s common sense!!”
  • John Rutherford, U.S. Representative for Florida: “Finally, UPenn is taking historic lengths to end its egregious violation of Title IX and restore the rightful accolades its female athletes earned. I am thankful for the Trump Administration’s tireless work to right this wrong. It’s critical we ensure women’s sports are protected across the nation for generations to come.”
  • Scott Perry, U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania: “Major victory indeed. Thank you, @POTUS, for protecting girls’ and women’s sports. As parents of two young women, my wife and I empathize with other parents whose daughters could be forced to share a bathroom, locker room, or sports with a man. May we continue to roll back this unfairness and, frankly, insanity.”
