AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office is thanking partners across the state for their role in hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 while announcing the agency’s relocation to a new headquarters in Austin.
In a message to Texas economic development and tourism stakeholders, Executive Director Adriana Cruz said the tournament delivered lasting benefits for the state and praised organizations that helped host visitors during the international event.
“First, we’d like to take a moment to thank all of our partners across the state who helped make the FIFA World Cup 2026 such an overwhelming success,” Cruz said. “Your hospitality showcased the best of Texas, and we are thrilled to see the positive impact that the games have had, and will continue to have, on our state for years to come.”
Cruz also noted the office’s participation in the Great American State Fair during the July 4 holiday in Washington, D.C., which commemorated the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and recognized Texas’ role in American history.
According to Cruz, the Texas pavilion was organized by the Travel Texas team and featured the state’s culture, history, music and innovation.
The bulletin also announced that the Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office has relocated after more than 20 years at its previous location at 221 E. 11th St. The move comes as a new office building for the Governor’s Office is planned next to the Texas State Capitol.
“We look forward to welcoming you to our new office home,” Cruz said, adding that the agency’s phone numbers, email addresses and post office box will remain unchanged.
The office’s new physical address is 400 W. 15th Street, 12th Floor, Austin, Texas 78701.
Cruz encouraged stakeholders to continue following the Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office through its website, social media channels and staff directory for updates on economic development resources, project announcements, job opportunities, events and other initiatives.
