EDINBURG, Texas – On April 29, 2026, a Hidalgo County jury found Isaiah Rowley, 26, of McAllen, Texas, guilty on three counts of sexual assault.

The case originated on August 9, 2023, when officers with the McAllen Police Department responded to a report of sexual assault. After obtaining the victim’s statement, investigators identified evidence indicating that the defendant had portrayed himself as a talent scout for an entity referred to as “101 Modeling.”

During the trial, evidence showed that Rowley used social media platforms to advertise purported modeling opportunities. Testimony established that he used deception to isolate the victim prior to the assaults. Jurors were also presented with photographic and video evidence recorded by the defendant.

Following the guilty verdict, the jury sentenced Rowley to 10 years behind bars on each count with the sentences running concurrently. The case was tried before the Honorable J.R. “Bobby” Flores in the 139th Judicial District Court of Hidalgo County, Texas.

“This case serves as a reminder to exercise caution when interacting on social media, as offenders may use deception to gain trust and exploit victims,” said Palacios.

The case was investigated by the McAllen Police Department.

Assistant District Attorneys Michelle V. Beltran and Jay Garza prosecuted the case.
