Mission, Texas — The Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (RGVHCC) proudly recognized Louie Peña as the Compadre Ambassador of the Year during the Chamber’s annual Noche de Gala Awards Dinner.
Peña, a member of the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the past year and a half and a Compadre Ambassador for one year, was honored for his dedication, commitment, and outstanding efforts in representing the Chamber and supporting business growth throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
With over 30 years of experience in the high-tech hardware engineering industry, Peña transitioned into the financial services industry, where he now focuses on helping individuals and families achieve financial success through insurance, investments, and retirement planning. He currently works with Western & Southern Financial after previously serving as an independent agent.
When asked about receiving the award, Peña shared:
“The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to me means the opportunity to meet business owners and individuals from all over the Rio Grande Valley that I would not have been able to meet otherwise. The RGVHCC has given me and many other Compadre Ambassadors the opportunity to network, make new friends, and create business opportunities. I encourage others to sign up, become members, and become a Compadre.”
“We are extremely proud of Mr. Peña and consider him a model Ambassador. He is usually the first to volunteer and travel throughout the Rio Grande Valley,” said Cynthia M.
