McAllen, Texas – Time flies during the summer months, but at South Texas College summer classes can be completed in just a few short weeks. Summer registration is open for summer II, along with minimesters. Classes begin July 10.
Taking summer classes is ideal for those looking to progress in their majors and graduate sooner. Taking classes in the summer enables students to get their basic courses and prerequisites out of the way.
Classes can be taken within four-week sessions.
Minimesters are also available, ranging in length from five to 14 weeks. Minimesters offer the same quality instruction and the same credit, in a shorter time span. Several core classes are being offered in traditional and online settings.
Pecan and Mid-Valley campuses will be open for extended hours to assist students who are in the process of registering for summer and mini misters during selected Saturdays for the month of June.
Extended hours for the enrollment center, cashiers, advising, and financial aid are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Student Services Buildings are located at the Pecan Campus in Building K and Mid-Valley Campus in Building F.
The Saturday extension hours are as follows
June 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
