The Pharr City Commission approved a proclamation declaring June 2026 as “Responsible Fatherhood Month,” recognizing the important role fathers and father figures play in the lives of children, families, and the community. The proclamation highlighted the lasting benefits of positive fathering and co-parenting, emphasizing the emotional support, guidance, and stability that involved fathers provide throughout a child’s life.
The proclamation was presented to Pastor David Magallan and Pastor Luis Cabrera, who spoke about the importance of having strong father figures and supporting healthy families. “Thank you to the City of Pharr for your support of this proclamation and our community,” said Pastor Magallan. The proclamation also highlighted the vital role fathers play in helping build stronger families and thriving communities.
