EDINBURG, Texas — The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) today announced the upcoming opening of Las Almas Food Hall, a new locally owned food hall development in the heart of downtown Edinburg. Developed by the Garcia-Kalifafamily, the project represents over $1.6 million in capital investment and is anticipated to open in Fall 2026.
Located at 225 E. Cano St., Edinburg, TX 78539, Las Almas Food Hall sits within the downtown district, just steps from the Hidalgo County Courthouse. The food hall, together with the businesses operating within it, will create over 30 jobs for the local workforce.
Las Almas Food Hall will offer a wide variety of cuisines under one roof, including pizza, vegan dishes, tacos, burgers, barbecue, sushi, Asian fusion, ceviche, and Mediterranean fare, along with a dedicated coffee vendor and a charcuterie-to-go station. A full-service bar will round out the offering with craft cocktails, beer, and wine curated to complement the food selections, all in keeping with the food hall’s guiding motto: Feed Your Soul.

Beyond dining, Las Almas Food Hall will offer:
● A handful of retail spaces, curated to complement the downtown experience
● Shared indoor seating areas, live music, and community events
● A private event room, available to rent for celebrations, meetings, and special occasions
● A dedicated private parking lot for guests
● A partnership with UTRGV art students, who will showcase and sell original artwork throughout the venue
● Watch parties for UTRGV sporting events, further establishing the space as a community gathering point in downtown Edinburg
