Nighttime Westbound I-2 lane closures in Mercedes, July 7-10

MERCEDES, Texas – Nightly lane closures are planned on westbound Interstate 2 (I-2) in Mercedes, between Mile 1 Road and FM 1015 (International Blvd.), from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10.

The closures are needed for planned pavement repairs on the I-2 travel lanes and on the bridge approaches and departures. 

While crews are working on the main travel lanes, traffic will be diverted to the WB I-2 frontage road.

Drivers should plan for minor delays and proceed with caution in the work zone.
