Gov. Abbott Appoints Bash and Young to Texas Judicial Council

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Zina Bash and reappointed Evan Young to the Texas Judicial Council for terms set to expire on June 30, 2027. The council studies the court system in Texas and looks for methods to improve while also investigating and reporting on matters referred to the council relating to the court system.

Governor Abbott signs dog tethering bill

After vetoing a similar measure over the summer, Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday signed into law a bill that makes the unlawful restraint of a dog a crime in Texas.
