WASHINGTON, DC – Five bills introduced by U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz became law last week as provisions of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, according to her office.
The provisions are intended to help Texas families pursue homeownership, expand housing support for veterans and increase the nation’s housing supply.
“For many Texas families, the dream of owning a home has slipped out of reach,” De La Cruz said.
“By expanding the housing supply, lowering costs, and improving Veterans’ access to affordable housing, we are restoring the American dream through bipartisan, common-sense legislation,” she said.
“After years of work across both chambers, I am thrilled to see this bill become law.”
De La Cruz spoke on the House floor in support of the legislation last month. Her full remarks are available here.
