McALLEN, Texas – Metro McAllen today officially launched the Downtown Circulator, a free new transit service designed to help visitors and residents effortlessly navigate McAllen’s downtown corridor. The circulator is now operating every Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Downtown Circulator connects the city’s most visited destinations in a single, convenient loop at no cost to riders. Stops include McAllen Central Station, the Downtown McAllen Parking Garage, Metro McAllen Park and Rides, McAllen City Hall, and key locations along the historic Main Street corridor.

The new service is part of Metro McAllen’s ongoing commitment to building a more connected, accessible, and vibrant city. It complements the broader Metro McAllen network and reflects the city’s short-range transit plan to grow ridership, reduce congestion, and make public transportation a first-choice option for residents and visitors.
