Marissa Gerlach has drawn the No. 3 position on the ballot as she seeks to continue serving her community, returning to the same spot she held when voters elected her in a special election in December 2023.
Gerlach announced the result after the ballot drawing, describing the number as a reminder of the start of her service and the trust voters placed in her about two and a half years ago.
“Two and a half years ago, in the December 2023 special election, I was number 3 on the ballot when you placed your trust in me and gave me the opportunity to serve our community,” Gerlach said.
She said her time in office has centered on listening to residents and maintaining the priorities she established when she first sought the position.
“Since that day, I have worked hard to honor that trust,” Gerlach said. “I have listened to our residents, learned from you, and stayed committed to the same purpose I had from day one — serving our community and always putting our residents first.”
The latest ballot drawing placed Gerlach in the No. 3 position once again, a coincidence she said has personal significance as she asks voters for another opportunity to serve.
“And now, two and a half years later, I’m number 3 on the ballot once again,” she said. “For me, it’s more than just a number. It’s a reminder of where this journey started, how far we’ve come, and why I’m asking for the opportunity to continue the work we began together.”
Gerlach said she believes additional work remains and expressed appreciation for the opportunity she has had to serve residents.
“Serving you has been an honor, and there is still more work to do,” she said.
As she continues her campaign, Gerlach directly appealed to voters for another term.
“I humbly ask for your trust, your support, and most importantly, your vote,” Gerlach said.
