LA JOYA, Texas – As a new school year approaches, excitement is building across La Joya ISD. Before students return to the classroom, the district is bringing families, students, staff, and the community together for an evening of celebration, connection,and back-to-school fun during its annual Back to School Bash.
Taking place on Friday, August 7, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the free community event will celebrate the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year while helping students prepare for a successful first day of classes.
Designed for the entire family, the Back to School Bash will feature live entertainment, performances, games, free food, and activities for all ages. In addition to the festivities, La Joya ISD will distribute backpacks filled with school supplies and uniformsto registered La Joya ISD students on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Proof of student registration will be required to receive these items.
The annual event reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to supporting students beyond the classroom while strengthening connections with families and the broader community.
