HARLINGEN – The TxDOT Travel Information Center (TIC), at 2021 West Harrison in Harlingen, will reopen this Wednesday, June 10, following a temporary closure for building maintenance.
The local TxDOT Travel Information Center is one of several across the state staffed with professional counselors providing current information on points of interest, events, and road conditions in the state. Also provided are free maps and a variety of free statewide and local travel literature.
Public restrooms and Wi-Fi accessibility are also available.
90th Year of TIC Hospitality
TxDOT’s Travel Information Centers are a huge asset for Texas’ tourism economy and for travelers. This year is the 90th anniversary of these information centers! All 12 of our centers are staffed by professionally certified travel counselors who offer stellar customer service, as well. They are brand ambassadors for the state who impact travel spending by millions of dollars. As a bonus, they are an extra marketing arm for their immediate communities.
