AUSTIN – This week, Governor Greg Abbott selected multiple qualified candidates to serve on behalf of Texans.

State Cemetery Committee â€“ Governor Abbott appointed Dot Cunningham to the State Cemetery Committee for a term set to expire on February 1, 2031. The Committee works with the State Preservation Board to adopt rules to manage oversight of the Texas State Cemetery.

Lower Neches Valley River Authority â€“ Governor Abbott appointed Justin Gray to the Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) Board of Directors for a term set to expire on July 28, 2027. The LNVA has a duty to conserve, control, and utilize the waters of the Neches River and its tributaries including storm and flood waters.

Board of Plumbing Examiners â€“ Governor Abbott appointed Julia Hayes and reappointed Dave Yelovich to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners for terms set to expire on September 5, 2031. The Board licenses master plumbers, journeymen, plumbers, and plumbing inspectors.

Director of the Regulatory Compliance Division â€“ Governor Abbott appointed Matthew Erickson as Director of the Regulatory Compliance Division for a term set to expire on February 1, 2027. The Regulatory Compliance Division reviews rules affecting market competition proposed by state licensing agencies.
