Company to Close H-E-B Park for Deep Clean Protocol, Sending Employees Home

Texas Border Business

(EDINBURG, Texas) – We care about the health and safety of our customers and business partners and, in this time of an unprecedented pandemic, we are treating health and safety as a top priority guiding our business decisions. Today, we learned that one of our employees at the H-E-B Park facility tested positive for COVID-19.  As a result, we are temporarily closing the facility while it undergoes thorough cleaning as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) & Prevention’s Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Recommendations protocol.  Employees at that facility have been sent home, and the company has done contact tracing, identifying and notifying less than 10 other employees the person had prolonged contact with.  The employee last reported for duty on Monday, June 15th.

While the facility is closed, only limited and authorized personnel will have access to the building.  The Company is obtaining guidance from public health officials and will continue to monitor additional guidance as it becomes available.

When we reopen, we will continue our heightened environmental cleaning regimen in accordance with CDC recommendations, including the routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces within the facility. We have instructed our employees to continue their personal regimen related to reducing transmission of the COVID-19 virus, which includes wellness checks at the start of their shift, mandatory facial coverings, safe social distancing, as well as frequent hand washing and sanitizing, facilitated by hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility.

We have and will continue to take steps to ensure the health and safety of our employees, our business partners, and their families.  “Being absolutely transparent with our employees, customers, and partners is of utmost importance to us.  We are all in this together, and we want to share what we know—whether that be information, best practices, or resources—we stand by our belief that ‘Unidos Podemos’, or Together We Can.  We CAN and we WILL get through this together, as a community,” says Ron Patel, President of Golden Grape Entertainment.  “We are proud of our workforce and offer our whole-hearted support of and continued commitment to everyone’s health and safety during this public health crisis.”
