SAN JUAN, Texas — The Cano family announced July 14 that Flower Guerrero has been appointed marketing director for its portfolio of businesses.
Guerrero will oversee marketing strategy, corporate communications, branding and public relations for Grande Produce, Cano & Sons Trucking, Cano Trucking Repair, Cano Logistics and J&S Construction Management.
According to the announcement, Guerrero brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, communications and business development. Her previous work included creative campaigns, integrated marketing strategies and brand development.
Her responsibilities will include brand management, digital marketing, media relations, internal communications, recruitment marketing, community engagement and strategic communications across the fresh produce, transportation, logistics, fleet maintenance and construction industries.
“Flower is an accomplished marketing leader whose experience in brand development and strategic communications will strengthen our organization as we continue to grow,” said Sara Cano, co-owner and spokesperson for the Cano businesses.
“Her ability to connect business strategy with compelling storytelling makes her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” Cano said.
Juan and Sara Cano founded Cano & Sons Trucking in 1999 as a single-truck operation. According to the announcement, the company has grown into a regional transportation and logistics business serving customers throughout North America, with more than 190 trucks and more than 700 trailers.
The company provides transportation, warehousing and cross-border logistics services. The family’s other businesses include Grande Produce, Cano Trucking Repair, Cano Logistics and J&S Construction Management.
Grande Produce continues the family’s involvement in the produce industry. Cano Trucking Repair provides commercial fleet maintenance and repair services, Cano Logistics operates as a brokerage company, and J&S Construction Management supports commercial and industrial construction projects.
“The Cano family has built a remarkable legacy through entrepreneurship, hard work and commitment to serving its customers,” Guerrero said.
“I’m excited to join at such an important time and look forward to helping strengthen each brand while sharing the stories that define these companies and the people behind them,” she said.
Guerrero will work to create a unified brand strategy while preserving the identity of each company. She will also oversee efforts to expand digital engagement, strengthen employer branding, improve customer communications and support future business growth.
The Cano family-owned companies operate in agriculture, fresh produce, transportation, logistics, fleet services and construction, serving customers in the United States and Mexico.
