SAN ANTONIO, Texas – On April 6-7, 2023, FBI Director Christopher Wray visited the FBI’s San Antonio Field Office and Del Rio Resident Agency and met with Special Agent in Charge Oliver E. Rich Jr. and other field office personnel. He also met with local law enforcement partners and members of the media to affirm the FBI’s continued commitment to help stem violent crime in the area.

“Fighting violent crime, along with the other threats impacting central and southwest Texas, takes all of us working together—with all our collective strengths, authorities, and expertise,” said Director Wray. “To do that requires constant collaboration, and I’m confident that’s happening here in the San Antonio area across the board, and specifically on our task forces, which are really the backbone of our efforts.”

Director Wray makes regular visits to the FBI’s 56 field offices and legal attachés to meet with employees, get briefed on local issues and crime trends, and to collaborate with partners.
