BROWNSVILLE, Texas — The City of Brownsville is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Environmental Task Force, an advisory board intended to support the City Commission in evaluating environmental sustainability, community resilience, and other considerations related to development in Brownsville.
The Environmental Task Force will provide a forum for research, community input, and informed recommendations on environmental issues affecting the City. Its work is intended to help provide the City Commission with additional information and perspectives as it considers policies and development matters that impact Brownsville and its residents.
The City actively recruits residents to serve on various task forces and advisory boards that support the City Commission in making informed decisions on issues that impact Brownsville. These opportunities provide residents with a meaningful way to participate in local government and contribute their knowledge, experience, and perspectives to the City’s decision-making process.
Residents interested in serving on the Environmental Task Force or other City advisory boards and task forces are encouraged to submit an application through the City’s Public Service Application portal:
