Our first three Vinos!  were “sold out” successes!  We invite you to join us for the fourth annual Vinos! on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at La Antigua Revilla, 4101 West University Drive, Edinburg, benefitting the Children’s Advocacy Center, Estrella’s House. Vinos! features fabulous music by Del Castillo and Renaissance Rockers, tantalizing cuisine prepared by local restaurants and extraordinary wines from around the globe. Sponsorships are available and tickets are $75.

Proceeds from Vinos! will help provide services to child abuse victims in Hidalgo and Starr counties.

Children’s Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County, Estrella’s House (CACHC) is one of 800 advocacy centers nationwide with 68 in Texas. CACHC was established in the year 2000 to serve the children of Hidalgo and Starr counties.  Estrella’s House was named in tribute to child abuse victim, 2 year old Estrella Rojas, whose life ended tragically in Edinburg, Texas.  Her memory is kept alive by helping children who are victims of abuse.

1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18.  Children’s Advocacy Center, Estrella’s House provides a safe haven with a child-friendly, comfortable, non-institutional environment where young victims are not afraid to tell their story.

You are invited to partner with us in our efforts to help break the cycle of abuse one child at a time, to bring hope, healing, and justice to children of abuse and to educate our community about prevention. The dollars we raise in donations are also used as “matching community dollars” when we apply for local, state, federal and foundation grants that are so vital to sustain program operations.

Your consideration and support of this very vital effort of providing services to child abuse victims in Hidalgo and Starr counties is greatly appreciated. We hope you will make plans to join us on the evening of Saturday, February 22, 2014.
