Bettcher Manufacturing, LLC will expand its operations in Mission with a $3 million investment, expected to create 50 new jobs and generate an estimated annual economic impact of nearly $16 million, according to a report from Teclo Garcia, President and CEO of the Mission Economic Development office.
Garcia stated, “It’s the firm’s second expansion since moving to the city in 2023, and we’re super excited and appreciative to have such a great private-sector partner.”
The company, headquartered in Mission, operates from its 60,000-square-foot facility in the Mission Expressway Business Park, where it will add a new manufacturing line as part of the expansion. Bettcher currently employs about 60 workers in Mission and several hundred more at its Reynosa, Mexico, facility.
According to Garcia, the new positions will include press operators, laser operators, material handlers, welders, supervisors, and quality control personnel. “And there could be even more in the future,” he said.
Bettcher Manufacturing, LLC is a long-established industrial manufacturer specializing in precision metal stampings and fabricated components. With roots dating back more than a century, the company has evolved into a cross-border manufacturing operation serving a wide range of industries with both simple and highly complex parts.
Garcia emphasized the economic role of manufacturing employment, stating, “Manufacturing jobs represent top-tier jobs that inject new funds into the local economy. We welcome that.”
