Join the National Civic League to learn more about the 2020 All-America City Award Program: Enhancing Health and Well-Being Through Civic Engagement. Tuesday, December 17th 12 pm MT (11:00 am PT, 1:00 pm CT, 2:00 pm ET)

On this webinar we will be joined by previous winning communities and our longtime lead volunteer, who will be presenting on their All-America City journey with tips for applying, the types of projects they submitted and an update on the benefits they have seen from winning the award.

Presenters

Rob Drake
City Manager Corenlius, OR

Rob is from Oregon,where he spent 27 years working for the City of Beaverton. Since 2012, Rob has been the City Manager in Cornelius, OR. He serves on the boards of the Community Housing Fund of Washington County and the Institute of Portland Metropolitan Studies at Portland State University. In 2019, Rob led the City of Cornelius’ successful All-America City team and is currently serving as a mentor for a prospective 2020 applicant.

Angela Stewart
Battle Creek Community Foundation

As the Community Initiatives Officer, Angela manages and oversees many projects within the community, such as: Operation Fit, the Battle Creek Namaste Way Institute, Battle Creek BCycle, and several Issue Action Groups of the Regional Health Alliance. Angela was Battle Creek’s team captain for the community’s successful bid to become a 2019 All-America City and is currently serving as a mentor for a prospective 2020 AAC applicant.

Doug Croft
Convergent Nonprofit Solutions

Doug has served on numerous boards and has professional experience with both non-profit organizations and chambers of commerce. He also won the All-America City Award with Thomasville, NC and has been a dedicated volunteer ever since. Doug names AAC as his all-time favorite volunteer role and is inspired by communities which demonstrate cross-sector collaboration and civic engagement in addressing acknowledged community challenges.
