PHARR –Road crews have planned full closures of the I-2 and I-69E main lanes in Mercedes, Harlingen, and San Benito to replace overhead digital signs, March 1-5.

Traffic will be rerouted to the frontage roads at the following locations:

1. IH2 Eastbound @ Mile 2 W Rd – March 01, 2026, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. (Mercedes)

IH2 EB Expressway Closure.

2. IH2 Westbound @ FM 3195 – March 02, 2026, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. (Harlingen) 

IH2 WB Expressway Closure.

3. IH69E Southbound @ FM 2994 – March 03, 2026, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. (Harlingen) 

IH69E SB Expressway Closure.

4. IH69E Northbound @ FM 509 – March 04, 2026, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. (San Benito) 

IH69E NB Expressway Closure.

5. IH2 WB @ Mile 2 W Rd – March 05, 2026, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. (Mercedes) 

IH2 WB Expressway Closure.
