McALLEN – Beginning Monday, January 19, 2026, Mile 7 East will be closed to through traffic for road reconstruction between Shary Road (FM 494) and Taylor Road. Shary Road (FM 494) and Mile 7 West will remain open.
FM 2220 (Ware Road) and State Highway 107 are detour options. A guided detour route will be in place.
The road reconstruction for Mile 7 East is expected to take approximately 6 weeks.
