PHARR, Texas – Motorists traveling through the I-2 / I-69C Interchange in Pharr should expect delays beginning next week.

Starting Monday, February 23, at 8 p.m., the westbound I-2 main lanes will be reduced between Cage Boulevard andJackson Road for work on the Jackson Road overpass. One lane will remain open for westbound I-2 traffic, while a second lane will service motorists traveling from the Edinburg-to-McAllen direct connector.

In addition, the Edinburg-to-McAllen direct connector will be reduced to one lane, impacting southbound I-69C traffic at the interchange. The westbound Veterans Boulevard entrance ramp will also be closed during this time.

At night, the westbound I-2 main lanes within these limits will be fully closed to accommodate the work. Lane reductions are expected to remain in place through Friday, February 27.

Motorists are urged to plan ahead, expect delays, and follow posted signage. All work is weatherpermitting.

Drivers are reminded to stay alert and slowdown in roadwork zones, to be aware of lane closures and alternateroutes, and to follow all traffic control updates.
