Students at the HECM satisfy the same admission requirements as the main campus in College Station, giving local students the opportunity to earn a Texas A&M degree and Aggie Ring close to home while gaining access to the Aggie Network of nearly 600,000 former students. Aggieland Saturday in the Rio Grande Valley highlights the HECM’s small class sizes, time-honored traditions and supportive campus resources, including Aggie Assurance, pledging tuition coverage to low- and middle-income Texas families.

“Aggieland Saturday in the Rio Grande Valley mirrors the same event in College Station,” said Ernest Aliseda ’88, associate vice president and chief operating officer of the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen. “Prospective students can experience tours, admissions presentations, campus resources tables and get immediate answers to questions.”
