EDINBURG, Texas – The Edinburg Cultural Arts Division and the Edinburg Arts Foundation invite the community to celebrate creativity under the glow of a midsummer evening at Sip & Paint: Firefly Fun, a paint-and-sip experience inspired by the magic of fireflies and summer nights. The event will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6, 2026, at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events (ACE) Center, located at 315 W. McIntyre St.
Participants will enjoy a guided acrylic painting experience led by local instructors Kyra Chape (English) and Gaby Rico (Spanish). Designed for all skill levels, each session will last approximately four hours. Sessions will begin at 12 p.m., with the final session starting at 6 p.m., allowing attendees to select the time that best fits their schedule.
Registration includes all standard painting materials, including a large canvas, acrylic paints, and brushes. A cash bar and concessions will be available throughout the event, and attendees may enhance their experience with premium beverage options available for an additional fee.
This event is exclusively for guests 21 years of age and older. Valid identification is required for entry and the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Advance registration is strongly encouraged, since seating is limited. Walk-in registrations will be accepted only if space remains available on the day of the event. Proceeds from Sip & Paint classes support ACE arts programming and community-based cultural initiatives.
Class sessions are scheduled for 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m., with session times subject to adjustment.
