SAN BENITO– A utility contractor has scheduled the removal of de-energized power lines over the expressway in San Benito for Sunday, August 30, requiring lane closures and rolling stops for traffic on the main lanes and frontage roads, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The work site is at 2000 Scott Brown Blvd. and I-69E (US 77/US 83), just south of Oscar Williams Road.
Law enforcement will assist with traffic control, and digital message boards will be deployed 10 days before the operation to remind drivers of the scheduled work and lane closures.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.
