PHARR, Texas — The Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC) is inviting local employers and job seekers to participate in its upcoming Career & Connections Job Fair, taking place Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Jose “Pepe” Salinas Event Center in Pharr.
The event is part of a workforce development initiative designed to connect local businesses with qualified talent while providing members of the community with access to employment and career opportunities.
Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC) is partnering with Workforce Solutions and Progressive Talent Solutions to bring employers and job seekers together and strengthen the local workforce pipeline.
“We are excited to bring employers and job seekers together for this important workforce initiative,” said Victor Perez, President and CEO of the Pharr EDC. “Our goal is to create opportunities for our community while supporting local businesses as they build and grow their workforce.”
More than 20 employers have already confirmed their participation, representing a variety of industries and career opportunities. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet directly with employers, learn about available positions, submit résumés, and explore their next career opportunity.
“We encourage anyone who is looking for a job, considering a career change, or simply interested in exploring new opportunities to join us,” said Leticia Adame, Economic and Workforce Director with the Pharr EDC. “There will be employers from different industries on site, making this a great opportunity for job seekers at all stages of their careers.”
“Our focus is to support job seekers in every step of their career journey,” said Francisco Almaraz, CEO of Workforce Solutions. “We encourage individuals to visit our centers beforehand for personalized assistance with developing their resumes or to hone their interview skills, ensuring they put their best foot forward at the job fair.”
