The Pharr City Commission accepted and signed the pledge to officially kick off the City’s participation in the 2026 Healthier Texas Challenge, a free, eight-week statewide initiative that promotes healthier lifestyles through wellness activities and community engagement. City employees will take part in the challenge as teams, while residents are encouraged to participate individually or with family and friends.
The City of Pharr is proud to have previously earned the Healthier Texas Challenge title for five years and looks forward to continuing its commitment to health and wellness. “We encourage everyone to participate and look forward to maintaining our title,” said Abel Molina, Special Events Director for the City of Pharr. The 2026 challenge will take place from February 2 through March 29, supporting efforts to improve physical activity and overall well-being for both employees and the community.
