In McAllen ISD, we feel that each student, parent and staff member is vital to the success of our schools and our community. Everyone contributes to that success regardless of where they were born. This is a district that embraces diversity and inclusion.

The district has resources to help students and their families as the national immigration situation continues to develop. These resources include:

  • School counselors
  • Parental Involvement
  • Student Support Services
  • Office of State and Federal Programs
  • Migrant Education Program

Keep in mind, McAllen ISD staff will not ask students or parents about their immigration status. McAllen ISD does not share student education records with outside authorities without parental consent, unless required by law.
