Three Food Bank RGV employees have tested positive for Covid-19. These employees were last at the Food Bank RGV during the weeks of June 8, 2020 and June 15, 2020 respectively. Each employee began to show symptoms after being away from the food bank for at least three days.

The Food Bank RGV has implemented strict safety precautions against Covid-19 including temperature checks, frequent sanitization of common areas, a continuous requirement of face coverings and glove use,  and most importantly regular deep cleaning of the entire facility. Co-workers from the same departments as the infected employees have not shown any signs or symptoms related to Covid-19. Although these employees have not been on-site for over a week to two weeks, their work spaces have been deep cleaned and thoroughly disinfected.

The Food Bank RGV will continue to take all necessary precautions against Covid-19 and puts safety at the forefront of everything done on behalf of staff, clients, the community, and food supply.
