Edinburg, TXA new state-of-the-art logistics warehouse is coming to the City of Edinburg North Industrial Park. Region I Industrial, owned by Joaquin Spamer, is spearheading the construction of the 200,000 sq. ft. facility, which will begin immediately and be completed in approximately one year. The facility will primarily be used for cotton storage, with potential for additional uses in the future.

“This new warehouse is a testament to the growth and potential of our city. It reflects the confidence that businesses have in Edinburg’s strategic location and vibrant community,” Edinburg Mayor Ramiro Garza Jr. said. “We are committed to creating opportunities that benefit our residents and enhance our local economy. This investment is a significant step forward for our industrial sector and our city as a whole.”

The initial Phase 1 of the project will be a 100,000 sq. foot facility and a $6 million investment, contributing to the overall $10 million project. This development is a significant milestone for Edinburg, addressing the region’s high demand for warehouse space and creating at least 10 new jobs, further stimulating the local economy.

“With a huge demand for more warehouse space and a lack thereof in Edinburg and the surrounding area, Mr. Spamer’s investment in this warehouse is timely and very much welcomed. More industrial space translates to more jobs and investment in our community,” Raudel Garza, Executive Director of the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, said.

The warehouse at 6201 Republic Drive in the North Industrial Park represents a strategic enhancement of Edinburg’s industrial capabilities. The facility’s prime location offers seamless access, making it a pivotal hub for logistics and trade.

“This investment also shows that the North Industrial Park in Edinburg is strategically located with access to international crossings and immediate access to our nation’s interstate system. We thank Joaquin Spamer for his confidence in Edinburg and for continuing to work with us to provide better jobs for the citizens,” said Veronica Gonzales, Edinburg EDC Board Chair.

The City of Edinburg and the Edinburg EDC Board of Directors express their appreciation to Spamer and Region I Industrial for their continued partnership and investment in the community. This development underscores Edinburg’s commitment to fostering economic growth and providing quality employment opportunities for its residents.
