BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville is inviting residents to take part in a community survey designed to gather feedback on ongoing projects, community priorities, quality of life, City services, and future investments across Brownsville.

Residents are encouraged to complete the survey on-line, at TX Brownsville CityPOV 2026 – Survey Tools | QuestionPro Survey, and share their thoughts on the items that matter most to them. These include facilities and amenities, public safety, growth and development, City leadership, and the possibility of future projects such as a proposed community resource center modeled after a YMCA-type facility. Feedback gathered through the survey will help guide planning and decision-making as Brownsville continues building for the future.

“Brownsville’s future must be shaped by the people who call our City home,” said Mayor John Cowen, Jr., City ofBrownsville“This survey gives our residents a direct voice in how we plan for tomorrow. From quality-of-life improvements and neighborhood priorities to major future investments like a community resource center. Our residents feedback is essential because it helps us understand what matters most to them and ensures we continue building a stronger, more responsive, and more vibrant Brownsville for generations to come.”

“The feedback we receive from residents will help drive the City in a clearer direction on where we should focus our efforts and resources,” said Interim City Manager Alan Guard, ICMA-CM, CGFO. “Just as importantly, this input willhelp the City better understand where future financial investments should be made, with residents’ choices, priorities, and vision at the top of mind as we plan the next chapter for Brownsville.”

The survey includes questions about where residents live, how they view the City’s progress, what services andamenities they value most, and how they rate their interactions with City departments. It also invites open-ended feedback so residents can share concerns, suggestions, and ideas directly with City leadership.
