McALLEN – The Valley Symphony Orchestra and Frost Bank invite you to join in on their traditional holiday concert, A Touch of Frost, set to begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17 at the McAllen Performing Arts Complex located at 801 Convention Center Blvd. Start your own family tradition and experience the most glorious LIVE holiday music entertainment by the Valley Symphony Orchestra and Chorale – the best in classial holiday favorites the Rio Grande Valley has to offer.
A long running tradition with corporate sponsors, Frost Bank, of over 17 years has proudly supported our holiday favorites, family friendly concert. Without community support, the non profit organization that is the Valley Symphony Orchestra would not be able to thrive in our region for over sixty six years. We’re proud and ecstatic to feature our Valley Symphony Chorale. A Touch of Frost, VSO Concert III is one of two concerts in our season that feature the volunteer chorale, directed by Dr. David Means. The chorale is made up of over 120 professional vocalists who will perform repertoire joined with the orchestra as well as without accompaniment of instruments of contemporary favorites as Williams’ Somewhere in My Memory heard in classic holiday movies such as “Home Alone” to classical favorites such as Gloria in Excelsis by Antoni Vivaldi.
The Valley Symphony Orchestra has been engaging symphonic music fans for 66 years. Under the direction of Dr. Peter Dabrowski, the Valley Symphony Orchestra produces five classical concerts and one POPS concert each season. This year will be like no other, as the symphony will enhance each concert experience with added production to showcase music like you’ve never seen. Performances showcase the talents of 92 professionally trained local musicians.
