Nearly twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, yet the memory is still deeply embedded in our national spirit. On that day, America faced unimaginable loss but also showed its greatest strength: the bravery of first responders, the solidarity of neighbors, and the enduring spirit of a people who refused to be defeated. As President George W. Bush stated in his address that evening, “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America.” The legacy of 9/11 is not only in what was lost but also in what remains—our shared dedication to liberty, resilience, and each other.
This series of reflections is dedicated to honoring that legacy. It will look back on the events of that day, the transformations that followed, and the resilience of survivors, families, and communities. Above all, it aims to uphold the promise that we will never forget. As we approach another anniversary, we stand united, remembering the fallen, honoring the heroes, and reaffirming the patriotic spirit that binds us as one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
