Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NASW TX LRGV Branch awards have been on hold since March (Social Work Month). We want to take time to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions that have made positive impacts in communities across the Rio Grande Valley.
The NASW/TX LRGV Branch Steering Committee invites you to the NASW/TX LRGV Branch Virtual Awards Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
This year’s award recipients are:
Commander Juan Pablo Sifuentes – Public Citizen of the Year
Angel M. Covarrubias – Media Award of the Year
Judge Renee R. Betancourt – Public Elected Official of the Year
Rebecca Ybarra-Leal – Social Work Student of the Year
Dr. Norma Villanueva – Social Worker of the Year
Dr. Janis B. Feldman – Lifetime Achievement Award
