September 2019 – The Boys & Girls Club of Pharr has started another year of its Afterschool program, and is doing “Whatever it Takes” to build GREAT futures for the youth & teens of Pharr and surrounding communities. The Club is a positive hub for youth and teens of all backgrounds to have access and opportunities that create a stronger future. With a mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment that enables all children to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible individuals, youth are flourishing and accomplishing goals through the Boys and Girls Club of Pharr.
This Fall 2019, the Club invites youth to join the afterschool program and partake in activities that encourage success in many areas. Mentors follow National guidelines as they caringly and skillfully lead classes in homework assistance, the arts, physical fitness, healthy living and positive choices while always having fun. Beyond the basics, the Club offers specialty programs that focus on prevention, mental health, career readiness, and more. Customized attention is given to the specific needs of each child throughout the program and achievements are recognized to boost confidence and growth of skill sets. Whatever it takes to succeed is the latest organizational campaign that promotes the great steps the club takes to empower and challenge youth to achieve their goals no matter the reach.
Rest assured that when choosing Boys & Girls Club of Pharr, you are choosing a commitment and priority to safety. The organization continuously undergoes trainings that strengthen the policies and procedures for providing a positive and secure environment.
