Pictured:  Lory Chavez (center), Community Food Project Manager, cuts the ribbon at the Mesa Llena grand opening, with Jack White, Good Neighbor Settlement House Executive Director, and DeAnne Economedes, Food Bank RGV Interim-CEO & COO.  The Mesa Llena community food project has opened at the Good Neighbor Settlement House, located at 1216 E. Tyler, Brownsville. The project will serve as a client-choice emergency food pantry, demo kitchen, learning center and incorporate other community partners. Volunteers are needed Tuesday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.  For more information, contact Carla Lopez, (956) 682-8101 or visit: www.foodbankrgv.com.
